The Halifax Recycling Center will be closed on Saturday, July 4 in honor of Independence Day. It will re-open on Monday, July 6 with its normal evening hours from 5pm to 8pm.
Monday Night Madness at the Holmes Public Library on Monday, July 6 at 6:30pm will include stories, songs, puppets, and lots of laughs with Big Ryan.
The Halifax Genealogy Club will meet at the Holmes Public Library on Wednesday, July 8 from 1pm to 2pm. This is a cooperative group for beginning, intermediate and advanced family historians. Please bring your ideas for topics you are interested in discussing or learning more about!
The Halifax Recycling Center will hold its monthly hazardous waste collection day on Saturday, July 11 from 7:30am to 12:30pm at the Recycling Center, 917 Plymouth Street. All household hazardous waste must be in the original labeled sealed container; container cannot be leaking or rusted. No Exceptions.
Sciencetellers combine science and story in the Monday Night Madness show, Superheroes on Monday, July 13 at 6:30pm at the Holmes Public Library. This show is not suitable for very young children, so please bring only children aged 5 and up, for everyone to get the most enjoyment.
TRIAD will hold its monthly meeting on Tuesday, July 14 at 10am with guest speaker Jim Keegan who will speak about the Town's recycling programs and how they help the citizens and the Town of Halifax.

There will be a regular meeting of Generations at the Halifax Council on Aging on Friday, July 24 starting at 11:30am with a hot dog/hamburger lunch, the meeting at 12 noon, and dessert at 12:30pm. All welcome! $5 pre-paid, please let Dottie know by Monday, July 20 if you plan to attend.
An annual tradition for Monday Night Madness! Register in advance to show off your pet to the crowd at the Holmes Public Library on Monday, July 27! This event is held outdoors. Please note the earlier start time (6 p.m.)
On Stage, a summer theatre program for area youth, will present its final production on Thursday, July 30, at 10:30AM and 7:00PM at the Halifax Elementary School, Route 106, Halifax. Admission is free, open to the public, and appropriate for children and adults of all ages. In its 31th year, On Stage is directed by Halifax resident Robert Kniffen. The program runs each year during the first four weeks of July, is open to students entering grades 4-8, and is sponsored by the Halifax Youth and Recreation Commission.
