Communications Center
The Emergency Communications Center is actively seeking a part-time dispatcher.  The applicant should be able and willing to work overnight (midnight to 8am), day (8am-4pm), and evening shifts (4pm-midnight). Applicants should be prepared to work a minimum of eight (8) to sixteen (16) hours per month. Recycling Driver/Highway Truck Driver/Laborer
Recycling and Highway Depts
The Town of Halifax is seeking applicants for a combined recycling department (25 hours)/highway department (15 hours) position. Work includes driving recycling truck, picking up and sorting recyclables at the curb, delivering and unloading recyclables at the designated locations and routine unskilled to skilled manual work performing highway construction, reconstruction, maintenance and other repair work related to Town highway, streets, sidewalks, parking lots and other Town property, driving highway equipment, and snow plowing. Applicants must have a CDL Class B license with air brakes. Expected pay rate is Grade 8 - $20.70 to $24.58 per hour with benefits. The Building Maintenance Department is seeking applicants for summer employment laborers (7/1/2016-9/1/2016). $14.02/hour, 40 hours per week (M-F), no benefits. Requirements: lift 100 lbs, ascend and descend stairs, work off ladders and heights above ground, handle and use power tools and equipment. Experience in trades preferred. Outreach Coordinator
Council on Aging
The Council on Aging is seeking applicants for the position of Outreach Coordinator. This position is full-time with benefits. The starting salary range is $17.46 -$18.95, (Grade 6, Step 1+). The Outreach Coordinator is an integral member of our staff, who knows and understands the mission, will provide advocacy, support, information and referrals for and on behalf of Halifax seniors through direct contact and linkage to existing services, programs and education. Applicants are required to have Master’s (MSW), LCSW or LICSW, Gerontology Degree, BS in Health/Social Service and /or at least four years related work experience with a Bachelor of Science degree. This position is for Adults who supervise or assist weekly recreation camps (On Stage, winter and summer camps), Special Events (Egg Hunt, Holidays in Halifax, Halifax in Lights, and Dances). The Supervisor may be asked to fill in for Recreation Director when the need arises if Director cannot be at event.  This is a position with limited hours during the year. Certification in CPR and First Aid are recommended but not required. Must be able to drive a 15 passenger van. Pay is $19.53 per hour

Duties include supervising children in varies recreational activities. Instructors are also responsible for cleaning gym, lobby, and lobby bathrooms. Also instructors may be used in keeping fields and parks clean. Instructors are used when needed. Instructors are used as gym monitors. Wage rate is $10.93 per hour.

This position is for High school age boys and girls who assist weekly recreation camps (On Stage, winter and summer camps), Special Events (Egg Hunt, Holidays in Halifax, Halifax in Lights, and Dances). Duties include supervising children in varies recreational activities. Instructors are also responsible for cleaning gym, lobby, and lobby bathrooms. Also instructors may be used in keeping fields and parks clean. (Youth sports programs are responsible to keep fields clean.) Aide/ Helpers are used when needed. Aide/Helpers assist instructors as gym monitors. This position is seasonal. Wage rate is the MA minimum wage (as of 1/1/2016, that is $10.00/hr.
