Other vendors, not regulated by the State or the Town, but providing services such as electricity generation, non-broadcast channels (i.e. cable), and Internet exist, but there are too many for the Town to list or keep track. You should run searches to determine what vendors exist and what services they offer.

South Shore Community Action Council (SSCAC) Inc., runs a fuel assistance program. Call 508-746-6707 (or toll free 877-FUEL-AID) to speak with a live operator from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. There is also a 24-hour voice-response system that enables applicants and clients to learn how the program works, access the status of their application and hear a list of payments made. In addition, the Halifax COA (elderly only), 781-293-7313 accepts applications on behalf of SSCAC.
