The Town of HalifaxÕs Recycling Center announced today that the one day curbside collection of Bulky Waste items will take place on Wednesday, April 28, 2010. This curbside collection is intended to help residents dispose of large items such as mattresses, refrigerators, stoves, televisions, computers, couches, gas grills, sinks and carpeting. Residents will continue to be able to drop-off different Bulky Waste items at the TownÕs Recycling Center located at 917 Plymouth Street on Mondays (5:00PM Ð 8:00PM), Wednesdays (10:00AM Ð 1:00PM) and Saturdays (7:30AM - 12:30PM). There is a minimum $5.00 fee charged to have items picked up curbside, all items picked up curbside will be charged the same fee structure for Bulky Waste disposal at the Recycling Center. Residents will need to pre-register by Thursday, April 22nd, in order for items to be collected at the curb on April 28th. Payments must be made by 1:00 PM on April 22nd.
