The Council on Aging is an appointed (by the Board of Selectmen), seven-person committee dedicated to providing services to the elderly of Halifax. These services include the Elderbus, Meals-on-Wheels, medical programs, lunch at Pope's Tavern, cultural and education programs, and assistance in obtaining services from the State and Federal Governments.
